Travis Barker reveals being a dad is 'just as good as I remembered'

Travis Barker has opened up about becoming a dad for the third time.

The Blink 182 drummer became a dad again last November, to Rocky, his son with wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker.

"It's just as good as I remembered it," he said in an interview with People magazine. "I love being a dad. That's my favourite accomplishment, it's my favourite thing I get to do every day."

Travis, 48, first became a stepdad almost 25 years ago when he had a "crash course" in parenting with his stepdaughter, 25, Atiana De La Hoya. He is also dad to daughter Alabama Luella Barker, 18, and son, Landon Barker, 20.

He recalled how he "learned so much" because "they were born really close to each other," adding "the most wonderful thing you could do at any time in your life is have a baby or bring a human being into this world."

He also revealed that becoming a parent was what inspired him to be healthy and look after himself. "The day I found out (then wife Shanna Moakler was pregnant with Landon), I left my house and I ran to the freeway," he said. "It was four miles, and then I ran four miles back, too. I had this urge to just be the best version of myself, be healthy and take care of myself more - and I think that's never gone away."

His love of running has stayed with him and he's set to host a community run, called Run Travis Run in Los Angeles on 6 July.
