Janet Jackson discusses reliving death of brother Michael Jackson

Janet Jackson has shared the emotional memories of her late brother, Michael Jackson, which are following her on tour.

The 58-year-old Got 'til It's Gone star is the younger sister of late Bad singer Michael, who died in 2009 at the age of 50.

Janet is currently on her Together Again world tour and fans have seen her performing her 1995 single Scream, which was a duet with Michael, accompanied by video footage of the late musician.

Speaking to the BBC, Janet confessed it is emotional, "listening to him every night, seeing him, remembering us."

Janet, who co-wrote the hit with her brother in his New York apartment, recalls, "So (I relive) that whole journey, listening to him sing it (and remembering) what he was going through at that time. And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That's always been my role."

The song was the lead single off Michael's ninth album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, released in 1995, and also featured on Janet's 2009 greatest hits album, Number Ones.

The track was penned as a response to frenzied speculation about Michael's personal life - as he was dogged by reports of increasingly unusual behaviour in the mid-90s; from sleeping in an oxygen chamber to buying a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles.

The 1990s also saw Michael come under scrutiny over his relationship with a young boy and he faced accusations of molestation in 1993, which he settled out of court.

He faced accusations again in 2005 but was cleared in the courts - however further accusations emerged following his death in 2009.

Janet's tour is due to arrive in the UK in September with shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester, and the following month she will perform a show in Glasgow.
