NewsAugust, 24 Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme gives health update after emergency surgeryQueens Of The Stone Age star Josh Homme has given a health update after undergoing emergency surgery. The 51-year-old was forced to cancel tour plans and seek emergency treatment in July but there had been hopes the band would be able to continue their tour this month. Now it has been revealed that all future gigs have been cancelled to allow Josh time to recover. In a statement issued via X on Friday, the rock group wrote, "QOTSA regret to announce the cancellation and/or postponement of all remaining 2024 shows." Giving an update on the lead singer's health, they continued, "Josh has been given no choice but to prioritise his health and to receive essential medical care through the remainder of the year." The band concluded, "Josh and the QOTSSA family are so thankful for your support and the time we were able to spend together over the last year. Hope to see you all again in 2025." The group also highlighted that previously planned shows in Boston, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Madison have been postponed until next year. While performances that were planned to take place in Bridgeport, Memphis and Mexico City - at the Soundside Music Festival, Mempho Music Festival and Corona Capital Festival respectively - have been cancelled outright. Specific details of Josh's health issues have not been revealed, however, he battled cancer in 2022 and underwent surgery at the time to successfully remove the disease.
