NewsAugust, 16 Usher reveals injury causing him to postpone more tour datesUsher has revealed the injury that has forced him to postpone more tour dates. The 45-year-old singer postponed the opening night of his Past Present Future tour in Atlanta, Georgia, just hours before he was due to take the stage, due to an unspecified injury. In addition to Wednesday's concert, Usher has also postponed shows in Georgia scheduled for Friday and Saturday. The R&B star has since taken to Instagram to reveal that he recently injured his neck. "Earlier this week, I suffered an injury to my neck while rehearsing to provide my fans with the greatest Usher show of all time," the Yeah! singer wrote on Thursday night. "My hope was that with physical therapy and medical treatment, I would be able to overcome the injury and be ready for opening night." He continued, "Unfortunately, the injury has not healed yet, and my doctors have instructed me not to perform any shows this week. The good news is that the doctors are saying that with appropriate rest and treatment, I should be ready to commence the tour in Washington DC on August 20th." The Grammy winner went on to thank his fans for their support and insisted he would be returning to the stage "soon". "I love my fans and thank you for understanding that this injury must be healed so that I can give you the 100% excellence that you expect from an USHER show and that I will be on Wage in your city very soon," he wrote. At the end of his statement, Usher revealed that the Georgia shows will be rescheduled for 9, 10 and 12 December. The tour will now kick off in Washington, D.C. on 20 August.
