NewsDecember, 6 Dick Van Dyke stars in Coldplay music videoDick Van Dyke has starred in Coldplay's latest music video. The British acting legend, who turns 99 on 13 December, has starred in an emotional music video for the band's song All My Love. "I'm acutely aware that I, you know, could go any day now," Van Dyke said in the video, which was filmed at his Malibu home, "but I don't know why it doesn't concern me. I'm not afraid of it. I have that feeling, totally against anything intellectual that I'm gonna be alright." The heartwarming video, co-directed by Mary Wigmore and Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze, featured recent clips of Van Dyke chatting with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The video also included a tour of the comedy legend's home, capturing a variety of career-spanning memorabilia that fills the house, including a life-size replica of his chimney-sweeping character from Mary Poppins, Bert. Elsewhere in the music video were short clips from Van Dyke's most famous films, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins, as well as his 60s sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show. The actor also recreated a dance routine from the iconic sitcom, called The Twizzle, as he is serenaded by Martin, and dances barefoot with his wife Arlene Silver. Van Dyke also becomes visibly emotional as he talks about his kids, Christian, Barry, Stacy and Carrie Beth, while looking at photos of them as children. Later in the video, the star sits on his patio surrounded by his children and many grandchildren. "I think I'm one of those lucky people who got to do for a living what I would have done anyway," he shared. "When you think how lucky I am, I got to do what I do - play and act silly." All My Love appears on Coldplay's 10th studio album, Moon Music.
