Shania Twain shares throwback photo to celebrate 60th birthday

Shania Twain has shared a nostalgic photo from the '80s to mark her 60th birthday.

On Thursday, the You're Still the One hitmaker took to Instagram to celebrate turning the milestone age by posting a snap showing her getting ready for a performance when she was in her twenties.

In the image, Shania is seen doing her hair while wearing a shimmering blue and silver suit.

"Happy birthday to me! How can I be 60?" she asked in the caption. "So glad to have kept some photos from this time in the '80s when I had no idea what was ahead of me and Shania f**king Twain didn't exist yet."

Shania also uploaded a more recent photo in which she poses in a white button-up shirt and black briefs.

Elsewhere in her heartfelt message, the Canadian singer-songwriter thanked her fans for their ongoing support.

"I can't begin to explain how grateful I am for the life that I have. For my family, friends, fans and the inspiration I get from all of you," the That Don't Impress Me Much star continued. "I've tried to stay true to myself along the way and that's my intention moving forward into the next chapter."

In addition, some of Shania's celebrity friends also took the opportunity to wish her a great day.

"Happy Birthday!!!! Here's to many more! Thank you for the music and for being you!!!" gushed Rita Wilson.
