Black Eyed Peas to play festival

Chart stars Black Eyed Peas are to play a headline appearance at the Wireless Festival this summer.

The group, whose I Gotta Feeling is one of the most downloaded tracks ever, will play the event in Hyde Park, London on Friday July 1.

Topping the bill on Saturday night will be dance duo The Chemical Brothers.

Sunday's big name act, Pulp, who are reforming after many years, were announced late last year. They will play the Sunday night of the event on July 3.

Wireless will be the only British festival appearance by US act Black Eyed Peas.

The quartet, featuring Will.I.Am and Fergie, have scored a string of chart hits including Where Is The Love, My Humps and Let's Get It Started.

They will be joined on the bill by leading UK artists and Brit hopefuls including Tinie Tempah and Plan B.

Support acts for the Saturday show include Chase & Status, Aphex Twin, Janelle Monae and Battles.

Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday night shows - officially called Wireless With Barclaycard - will go on sale on Friday at www.wirelessfestival.co.uk.
