Ne-Yo postpones UK gigs for record

Ne-Yo has postponed three of his forthcoming UK shows, so he can focus on his new album.

The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter was due to kick off his tour in Glasgow on February 22 before moving on to Liverpool the day after, but these gigs have now been cancelled until autumn, with rescheduled dates to be announced shortly.

His March 3 show at Newcastle Arena has also been rescheduled, although he will continue to play the dates at Manchester, London and Birmingham, where he will be supported by Trey Songz and Chipmunk.

"Ne-Yo has been forced to reschedule three dates on his forthcoming UK tour due to album commitments," a statement said.

"With work on his fifth studio album going so well, the American singer-songwriter could not interrupt the creative process and has been compelled to push back his Glasgow, Liverpool and Newcastle dates to autumn 2011 in order to focus on the album."

The rescheduled dates will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Tickets bought for the rescheduled performances will remain valid for the new dates.
