Iglesias linked to US X Factor
Enrique Iglesias has been asked to host the US X Factor, according to reports.
US website Deadline said that the singer had been approached about the role that Dermot O'Leary wanted.
The pop star has had contact with Simon Cowell before, performing on the British X Factor last year.
The Hero singer's potential role follows reports that Island Def Jam chairman LA Reid has signed up as the show's first judge.
The Hollywood Reporter said he'd been given one of the judging roles, which has also been linked to Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Cole.
Auditions for the Fox show begin in Los Angeles on March 27.
