Xtina opens Pandora's Box of tweets
Christina Aguilera has joined Twitter and said she feels a "Pandora's Box has been opened".
The Burlesque star - whose divorce from music executive Jordan Bratman was finalised last month - already had over 10 and a half million followers after just one day signed up to the social networking site under the name TheRealXtina.
Christina tweeted: "Here goes my first Tweet! Brace yourselves... So excited to connect with all my fans here."
She later added: "Thanks for the welcome to Twitter. I'm getting the hang of this. Never thought I'd say the word 'hashtag'. Pandora's box has been opened."
The 30-year-old singer and actress, who has a three-year-old son Max, has been enjoying plenty of partying since splitting from her husband after almost five years of marriage last November.
She is now dating Matthew Rutler, who was a set assistant on her movie Burlesque.
Earlier this month Christina was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of being drunk in public after police stopped a car Rutler was driving in the early hours of the morning.
Rutler was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later released on 5,000 dollars bail.
