Enrique takes Jackson dance crown
Enrique Iglesias has reclaimed the record for the most dance hits from a male artist in the US from Michael Jackson.
The Hero heartthrob has had the most chart toppers in the Dance/Club Play Songs chart after his new track Dirty Dancer hit the top spot this week, earning him his ninth number one, Billboard.com reports.
Enrique had previously taken the title from Jacko in February when his dance hit Tonight I'm Lovin You reached number one. But the late king of pop managed to take back his crown with the posthumous release of Hollywood Tonight in June, scoring him an eighth number one.
Dirty Dancer, a collaboration with Usher, featuring Lil Wayne, has helped Enrique take back the record.
All 15 of Enrique's Dance/Club Play hits have made the top 10, and Dirty Dancer is his third number one in a row following I Like It and Tonight.
But the female artists are way ahead in the dance charts.
Queen of pop Madonna holds the record with 40 Dance/Club number ones, while Jacko's sister Janet Jackson is second with 19.
