Olly Murs tops UK singles chart

Former X Factor contestant Olly Murs has stormed to the top of the singles chart with his collaboration with Rizzle Kicks, Heart Skips A Beat.

Calvin Harris entered the charts at number two with his latest offering, Feel So Close, and Will Young, who won Pop Idol ten years ago, scooped fifth place with his new single Jealousy.

Wretch 32, who secured the top spot last week with Don't Go featuring Josh Kumra, slid to fourth.

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera held the third slot with Moves Like Jagger, according to the Official Charts Company.

The Death Of You And Me, by former Oasis star Noel Gallagher's new outfit, High Flying Birds, entered the charts at 15.

In the albums chart, Will Young's album Echoes entered at number one, while former X Factor winner Joe McElderry took the second slot with Classic.

Adele continued to dominate the charts as her latest album, 21, took third place after 31 weeks. Her earlier album, 19, held on to fifth place.

Wretch 32's Black and White took fourth position while Amy Winehouse's Back To Black slid from third to sixth position.

The other new entries in the album chart Top 20 were What Matters Most by Barbra Streisand which is number seven, and Hard-Fi's Killer Sounds which is at nine.

The Red Album by Game is in 14th position, while last week's number one, Welcome Reality by Nero, slid to eighth place.
