Coldplay album 'close to a musical'
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has compared the band's forthcoming album to a musical.
Mylo Xyloto comes out next month and is loosely based on a love story.
Chris was quoted telling The Sun: "Our new record is sort of a story - it's not quite a musical, but it's dangerously close."
The best-selling band got Rihanna on board for the track Princess Of China to help tell the story.
Chris joked that drummer Will Champion almost sang the piece instead of the S&M star.
Will previously sang on the track Death Will Never Conquer during the their Viva La Vida Tour.
"There's a bit of a love story thread so we really needed someone to sing even higher than me.
"For all Will's good intentions, he can't do it. You need to be a female," he said.
