Cheryl: Craziest Things about ex

Cheryl Cole has revealed that her song Craziest Things is not about ex-husband Ashley Cole but, rather, a boyfriend she had in her teens.

The song, which has lyrics such as 'We say the craziest things like I love you, hate you, don't need you, f*** you', is a collaboration with her pal Will.i.am, and she told Pop Sugar magazine it was about a two-year relationship she had back in Newcastle.

She said: "I was in the worst relationship of my life. We swore, we fought, we did everything it says in that song.

"People think it's passionate and fun, but it's aggressive and wrong. I was depressed and poorly. I had to end it for my health."

Cheryl has previously said that the track S**** You isn't about Ashley either.

"I didn't have him in mind. But I can see how it is interpreted that way, of course," she said.

The singer has also said that the reason she had dropped the name 'Cole' from her album is because it wouldn't fit on the sleeve.

She told Graham Norton: "I couldn't fit the Cole on there so I just dropped it off the edge. It didn't fit with the artwork."

Meanwhile, the Mirror reports that a relative of Cheryl's has been turned down from The X Factor.

Melissa Armstrong, who is the step-daughter of Cheryl's brother Joseph, sang Cheryl's hit Promise This at the Newcastle auditions and received the thumbs up from Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh, but Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow gave the aspiring singer the heave-ho.
