Swedish House Mafia to split up

Swedish House Mafia are to split up when their forthcoming tour comes to an end.

The dance trio - comprising DJs and producers Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso - made the announcement on their website, hours after they performed at BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend.

"Today we want to share with you, that the tour we are about to go on will be our last," they said in the statement.

They also thanked fans for their support throughout the years, adding: "We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved."

The group, which was formed in 2008, will announce details for the final leg of their last tour in August.

Their forthcoming performances include T In The Park on July 8, a gig at Milton Keynes Bowl on July 14, a residency at Ibiza's Ushuaia from July 4 to August 29 and Stockholm's Friends Arena on November 24.
