Jepsen's rep denies nude snaps

Carly Rae Jepsen's representatives have strongly denied topless pictures circulating the internet are of the singer.

Photographs of a girl revealing her pierced nipples were mistaken for the 26-year-old protegee of Justin Bieber, and her record label have been quick to act.

The Call Me Maybe singer's spokesperson told gossip website TMZ: "This is 200 per cent NOT Carly."

The pictures are apparently of 21-year-old internet model Destiny Benedict, who seemed to find the case of mistaken identity amusing, as she retweeted a comment saying:"She looks like Carly Rae on meth... maybe?"

Meanwhile, Carly took to the stage at celebrate her hometown's 145th birthday on Canada Day.

She performed at a special concert held at Mississauga Celebration Square in Toronto, prompting praise from her fans on Twitter.
