Potter star takes lead in music vid

Matthew Lewis has shown off his pop credentials by starring in a music video for folk group A Band Of Buriers.

The 23-year-old actor, who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, follows in the footsteps of fellow co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who have all appeared in music videos.

He stars alongside former Skins actress Lily Loveless as a couple whose love takes a sinister turn in the video for the band's title track Filth, taken from their new album, which is out on July 10.

Shot in rural Gloucestershire, the video was written by Rob Hayes and directed by Blake Claridge.

Formed in 2011, A Band Of Buriers consists of singer James P Honey, cellist Jamie Romain and female backing choir Annie Broadbent, Georgia Maguire and Anna Byers.

Matthew, who was last seen in BBC1's The Syndicate, will next star alongside Timothy Spall in British heist movie Wasteland, and is preparing to make his West End debut in Our Boys at the Duchess Theatre in London from September.

Harry Potter star Daniel appeared in Slow Club's Beginners music video, while Emma, who played Hermione Granger previously made a cameo in One Night Only's Say You Don't Want It. Rupert who starred as Ron Weasley in the hit films featured in Ed Sheeran's Lego House.
