Robbie Williams Named Album Icon for 2026

Robbie Williams has been revealed as an official Album Icon for the ninth National Album Day, set for Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The British star brings a remarkable tally to the role: 18 BRIT Awards and 16 UK Number 1 albums. He joins the previously announced champions PinkPantheress, Max Richter CBE and Melanie C in celebrating what the album format means culturally. The theme for 2026 puts legendary music icons in the spotlight.

Universal Music Recordings and Island Records are marking the event by reissuing Williams' third studio album, Sing When You're Winning, as a limited-edition 2LP set on red and blue coloured vinyl. It is the first time in 25 years that the multi-platinum record has been pressed on vinyl, and it plays at 45 RPM, matching the original release.

First released in August 2000, Sing When You're Winning went 8× Platinum and logged 77 weeks on the UK charts. Its hit singles included "Rock DJ," the Kylie Minogue duet "Kids," and "Supreme."

National Album Day is presented in association with BBC Radio 2 and unites record labels, independent retailers and fans throughout the UK around special releases, listening events and artist celebrations.
