NewsOctober, 22 Martin Garrix announces debut pop album Marty
Martin Garrix is getting ready to release his first pop album. Titled Marty, it runs to 14 tracks and is scheduled to arrive on 5 March 2027, more than ten years after Animals first put him on the map. The Dutch DJ has lined up an impressive guest list for the record, with Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Aitana all set to appear. On Wednesday he gave some of his most dedicated listeners an early taste of several new songs at a Spotify Pop-Up event in Amsterdam. "Even though I've been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I'm just at the beginning," he said. He went on to explain that the album is about growth and passing through different chapters of life, and about the idea that the love we give and the energy we send into the world don't simply vanish when we're gone. He added that he wants listeners to come along on that journey and feel each stage of growth with him. Garrix is currently out on his Martin Garrix Americas Tour. His chart record includes six Billboard Hot 100 entries, among them the top 40 hits Animals and In the Name of Love with Bebe Rexha. He has also notched 32 Dance Airplay entries, including the No. 1 songs Higher Ground with John Martin and Told You So with Jex.
