NewsOctober, 6 Justin Timberlake Jokes About Beatboxing Past
Justin Timberlake has poked fun at his old beatboxing habit, saying he doesn't "know how to apologise enough" for it. The joke came after content creator Hannah Young shared an Instagram reel looking back at the singer's attempts at the artform. "Nobody questioned it," she said. "Nobody said, 'Justin, you know? We have drums. This is a professional recording studio. There are instruments available to you.' And we liked it. That's what I need us to sit with. We were watching that man make drum noises with his mouth, like, 'Oh, my God, what can't he do?'" The clip soon drew thousands of views, and on Monday, Justin replied to Hannah in public. "I often look back on that time as well," he wrote. "I still haven't come up with any answers. I don't know how to apologize enough for whatever those ambitions were. Too many boots. Too many cats. I hope you can forgive me." Wrapping up, the SexyBack star confessed that he sometimes feels the urge to beatbox. "Also, I can't promise I won't do it again. God help us all," the 45-year-old joked. Even with his apology, plenty of fans in the comments praised his skill. "Love his beatboxing both LIVE and on studio recordings," one wrote, while another said: "I've always loved his beatboxing!" The singer-songwriter beatboxed on the *NSYNC track Pop, from the boyband's 2001 album Celebrity, and on his 2003 solo single Rock Your Body.
