Meanwhile, Bruno Mars and Rihanna shoot back into the Official Singles Chart top three following appearances on X Factor, with Locked Out Of Heaven and Diamonds finishing the week at number two and three respectively.

Labrinth featuring Emeli Sande held firm for another week at number four with Beneath Your Beautiful while Alicia Keys is at five with Girl On Fire.

Kesha is this week's highest new entry as new single Die Young comes in at number 10.

Further down the chart are two new entries from American indie outfit Imagine Dragons, whose Radioactive and Hear Me chart at number 35 and 37 respectively, while Athlete's 2005 single Wires comes in at number 40 following Rylan Clark's performance of the song on X Factor.

On the Official Albums Charts, former X Factor graduates One Direction held firm at number two with Take Me Home.

Last week's chart-topper Rihanna dropped two to number three with Unapologetic, while two festive albums, Michael Buble's deluxe version of Christmas and Rod Stewart's Merry Christmas Baby both climbed one place to finish the week at Number four and five respectively.
