Thicke wants Obama in music video

Robin Thicke has joked he should get US President Barack Obama to star in his next music video if he wants to top his number one hit Blurred Lines.

The Blurred Lines video, which features skimpily dressed models dancing around the Canadian singer and guest artists TI and Pharrell Williams, has courted controversy for its explicit nature, while the lyrics have been criticised for being misogynistic.

"I don't know how you can top Blurred Lines. We're gonna have to see if President Obama will be in it," Robin quipped to The Sun.

"Either that, or maybe we just won't make a video at all. Just disappear on top."

He added: "It's like winning the championship in your last season. Why play again?"
