Second time lucky for Katy B

Singer Katy B is celebrating her first UK number one album after Little Red went straight to the top of the chart.

The 24-year-old dubstep star, from Peckham, south London, had previously peaked at number two with her debut album On A Mission in 2011.

For her latest record, the Brit School graduate worked with songwriters Guy Chambers, famous for his collaborations with Robbie Williams, and Grammy-award winner Fraser T Smith.

It follows a string of top 10 singles for the former Mercury Prize nominee in recent years including Lights On with rapper Ms Dynamite, Katy On A Mission and Broken Record.

She also teamed up with producer Mark Ronson on the song Anywhere in the World for the London 2012 Olympics.

Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon rose one place to number two in this week's chart, while last week's number one, So Long, See You Tomorrow by London rockers Bombay Bicycle Club, fell to number eight.

Lisa Stansfield's new album Seven - her first in 10 years and 25 years after her global chart-topping single All Around The World - entered the charts at number 13.

Rosanne Cash, the eldest daughter of late country music star Johnny Cash, reached number 25 with The River & The Thread.

In the singles chart, Clean Bandit made it a fourth successive week at number one with their dance track Rather Be.

It trailed Stay The Night by DJ producer Zedd and Paramore singer Hayley Williams, who led the way in the mid-week chart update.

But Clean Bandit - brothers Jack and Luke Patterson, Grace Chatto and Neil Amin-Smith - clinched the top spot, selling just 8,000 more copies than their closest rival.

Pharrell Williams' Happy fell one place to number three, while Shot Me Down by David Guetta featuring Skylar Grey and album-chart topper Katy B with Crying For No Reason completed the top five.

Meanwhile, The Irish Brigade's Roll Of Honour entered the single chart at number 33 after a campaign by Celtic football fans opposed to anti-sectarian football legislation introduced by the Scottish Government.
