Pussy Riot members held in Sochi

Pussy Riot has apparently had two members of the band detained in Sochi, close to where the Winter Olympics are taking place.

Russian human rights activist Semyon Simonov said that they had been detained in downtown Sochi, along with several other activists.

He says he was with Maria Alekhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova at the time and that they have been accused of theft by the police.

Maria and Nadezhda previously spent nearly two years in prison but were released in December. They were convicted of hooliganism after staging a protest in Moscow's most prominent cathedral in opposition to President Vladimir Putin's government.

The two women recently visited the US to take part in an Amnesty International concert.
