Bieber's Baby makes Vevo history

Justin Bieber has become the youngest-ever artist to reach one billion views on Vevo, after his hit, Baby, officially passed the milestone mark.

The Canadian singer's 2010 break-out track has become the most-watched clip ever, and is the only video to be "certified" 10 times across the streaming platform.

"Justin Bieber's Baby music video reaching one billion views and 10x certified across Vevo is a huge milestone, both for Justin and Vevo," Vevo spokesman Doug McVehil told Billboard.

"Baby premiered across Vevo in February 2010, just two months after our platform launched. Four years later, Vevo is the number one music video platform in 13 countries on web, mobile/tablet and TV apps, and Justin is a household name. We really feel like Vevo and Justin have grown together."

Justin - who will celebrate his 20th birthday on March 1 - has a total of 11 certified videos on Vevo, with six reaching the 100 million mark including Never Say Never, One Time, Somebody To Love, Never Let You Go, One Less Lonely Girl and Love Me.

However, Baby still falls short of Psy's Gangnam Style on YouTube, which is soon to reach the two billion mark.
