Sir Paul cancels more Tokyo shows

Sir Paul McCartney has cancelled his second concert in Japan, as well as the make-up performance for the one axed a day earlier, and has apologised to his fans for still being sick with a virus.

The former Beatle said on his Out There Japan Tour 2014 site that he wanted to perform on Sunday against doctors' orders, but his team would not allow it.

He said his condition had not improved and apologised for letting his fans down.

The 71-year-old fell sick on Friday, and cancelled his concert at the last minute on Saturday. But he said he'd be well enough to perform on Sunday and do an additional concert on Monday.

It is unclear whether the cancelled concerts would be rescheduled, or when Sir Paul would recover to carry out the rest of his tour.
