Judge orders mental evaluation for alleged Chris Brown intruder

A California judge has ordered a mental evaluation for a woman accused of trespassing twice on Chris Brown's property.

Danielle Patti has been behind bars since 28 April (16), when she was arrested at the R&B star's Woodland Hills estate for the second time in the space of five months.

The 27-year-old suspect, who claimed she was in a relationship with Brown, pleaded not guilty to two counts of trespassing on 29 April (16), and she returned to court on Friday (06May16) for a bail hearing.

During the session, Patti expressed her desire to ditch her attorney and represent herself in the case, but the judge shut down her request and instead ruled she needed a psychological evaluation, before bail could be considered, reports TMZ.com.

The court hearing took place hours after Brown obtained a restraining order against Patti, banning her from being within 100 yards (91.4 metres) of the singer and one of his bodyguards.

Ironically, Patti, who was first arrested at Brown's house in December (15), was previously granted her own temporary protection order against the Kiss Kiss hitmaker in March (16), after claiming he had threatened her on social media. A judge decided against making the order permanent because she failed to show evidence to substantiate her allegations. Patti claimed she had erased all the messages to get rid of the bad memories.

Brown has yet to comment on his latest run-in with the overzealous devotee, but he is no stranger to fan harassment - in May, 2015, he returned from a trip to Las Vegas to find a female intruder lying naked in bed in his Agoura Hills home.
