Sam Smith ‘using crystals to attract love’

Sam Smith reportedly hopes to find someone special through crystal healing.

The Writing’s On the Wall singer posted a picture of his new collection of gems on Instagram last week (ends02Oct15). A source claims that the Brit has brought them into his home in the hope that he’ll meet the love of his life.

“Sam has had his fair share of heartache and has been persuaded to look at more unusual methods to bring romance into his life,” the insider told Britain’s The Daily Mirror newspaper. “Lots of people are into crystals in LA and since he’s taken a more holistic approach life Sam has decided to embrace the crystals in the hope of finding someone special.”

The openly gay star’s award-winning album In The Lonely Hour was inspired by the heartbreak that came from falling in love with a straight man. While he has dated since, Sam is believed to be single at present, but is hoping that the new additions to his home, which includes a rose quartz, will change his fortunes.

“He wanted crystals that will specifically help him attract love and so went to Silverlake to a speciality shop for help,” the source continued. “He is desperate to meet someone special soon and end his run of failed romances.”

Sam reportedly spent £330 on the love crystals at healers Spellbound Sky in Los Angeles. The singer was quick to share his purchases with his Instagram followers.

“I have always been very sceptical about Crystals, and what they do etc. However, I have decided to give it a go!!” he wrote alongside the image of the different coloured gems on a side table.

As well as the “love potion”, Sam chose several blue throat chakra stones. He apparently went for that option to help him heal following surgery on his vocal cords in May (15).
