Kylie Minogue dazzles in sequins as she shocks fans with surprise Coldplay appearance
Kylie Minogue was a vision in sequins as she shocked fans with a surprise Coldplay performance at their New Jersey concert on Saturday night.
The Australian pop sensation teamed up with Chris Martin and his band for an acoustic version of her 2001 hit, Can't Get You Out Of My Head. Kylie looked every inch the pop queen in her spectacular head-to-toe sequin outfit. She opted for a royal blue skirt which she teamed with a very sparkly red vest.
Taking to Instagram, Kylie shared a clip from the performance along with the caption: "Thank YOU @coldplay for letting me join the band last night. Love you too!"
Her fans went wild in the comments section with one commenting: "What a moment! We need you on your own tour now."
Another added: "This made my morning!"
A third remarked: "I mean this is just magical queen love the outfit."
Kylie previously performed with Coldplay at Glastonbury in 2019
In a display of gratitude, Coldplay took to their Twitter account to commemorate the special occasion. Sharing a sweet tweet, the band penned: "Thank you @kylieminogue for letting us be your backing band. We love you."
One fan gushed: "OMG that was so amazing! I LOVE Kylie Minogue and I LOVE that song! I’m so happy you all sang it together. She’s amazing!"
The band is currently on the road as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour which will be making its way to the UK this summer. In a bid to cut back on carbon emissions, the band is striving to make their tour as sustainable and low-carbon as possible.
The songstress has collaborated with Peggy Gou
Coldplay has pledged to plant one new tree for every ticket sold and has promised to power their stage production almost entirely with renewable, super-low emission energy.
Kylie's surprise appearance comes in the wake of her recent Can't Get You Out Of My Head remix which has been remastered by DJ Peggy Gou. The catchy remix was commissioned by Magnum ice cream to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the song.
