NewsJune, 20 Broadway star slams Madonna for her behaviour during Hamilton performance![]() Broadway star Anthony Ramos has slammed Madonna for her alleged behaviour while watching the stage musical Hamilton. The actor and singer has called out the Queen of Pop for allegedly sitting in the audience looking at her iPad during a 2015 performance of the ongoing Broadway musical. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen, Anthony, who played two roles in the production, was asked to reveal the most "terrifying" celebrity he had spotted in the audience while performing in Hamilton. "The most terrifying was Madonna with her iPad in her face. She was like this the whole time," the 33-year-old replied, imitating her staring down at her device. He jokingly continued, "I was like: 'Damn, shorty,' I'm like: 'If you not enjoying it that much, you know the door's right there. You ain't gotta stay here.'" The In the Heights actor originated the dual role of Philip Hamilton and John Laurens in Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical in 2015 and left the production in November 2016. That year, Miranda, who also starred as the titular Alexander Hamilton, cryptically revealed that he had banned a celebrity from going backstage after the show. "Tonight was the first time I asked stage management NOT to allow a celebrity (who was texting all through Act 2) backstage. #noselfieforyou," he wrote on X/Twitter at the time. It was widely rumoured that he was referring to Madonna; however, he never confirmed the speculation. The Like A Prayer singer's publicist later responded to the rumours, telling Us Weekly, "It's not true. She was invited backstage four different times. She texted post show when they were doing their fundraising pitch. Madonna had already made a generous donation."
