NewsFebruary, 27 Rihanna teases new music with recording studio clip
Rihanna has teased new music in a new clip showing her inside a recording studio. On Thursday, the hitmaker took to Instagram to share a video offering her followers a glimpse into a typical day in her life, which showed her working in a recording studio in the early hours of the morning. The video begins with Rihanna in a meeting for her fashion brand Savage X Fenty after 9pm. The footage shows the star discussing designs with co-workers and looking through fabric samples. During the meeting, Rihanna could be heard saying, "I still have to go to the studio after this and I have to make a Mardi Gras costume for my son after the studio." The Love on the Brain singer shares three children, RZA, three, Riot, two, and Rocki, who was born in September, with longtime partner A$AP Rocky. At around 2am, Rihanna and her team moved to the recording studio, leading fans to believe she is working on her long-awaited ninth studio album, nearly 10 years after the release of her last record, ANTI. While she may have been working on new tracks, the singer strategically muted the clips to keep fans guessing. Although Rihanna has not released a studio album since 2016, she did release a song in 2025 titled Friend of Mine, which appeared in the Smurfs film. Shortly after Rihanna shared the video, fans flooded the comments section with excited messages anticipating a new album. "Now this album is really coming!" one social media user wrote, while another commented, "Did you say STUDIO?"
