NewsMay, 20 Bret Michaels shares fears over California wildfire
Bret Michaels has expressed concerns about the Sandy Fire raging in the Simi Valley, in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The Poison rock star owns a home in the area and took to Instagram to share a video from his place, where smoke could be seen in the background. "To all our Southern California friends and fans in the path of this current fire, please stay safe. We are thinking of you and grateful for our awesome firefighters," he wrote. The fire is reportedly heading towards Thousand Oaks, where Britney Spears, Heather Locklear, Jamie Foxx and Tom Selleck have mansions. Spencer Pratt, who is running for mayor of Los Angeles in local elections, criticised sitting mayor Karen Bass in several posts to X over her handling of the Palisades Fire last year, and drew comparisons to the new Sandy Fire. "While Karen Bass is worried about getting meth-heads new grills, the LAFD has 3 dozen LESS firefighters than we had when the Palisades Fire hit. Folks, you need to vote like your life depends on it, because it does," he urged. More than 17,000 people are under evacuation orders in Southern California as the wildfire threatens suburban homes, according to the Associated Press. Simi Valley is home to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, which is the burial site of Ronald Reagan, the 40th president of the United States, and his wife Nancy Reagan. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
