Adele remains top of album chart

Singer-songwriter Adele has topped the album chart for a 13th week.

The Londoner's album 21 made pop history by spending 11 consecutive weeks at the summit of the charts, said the Official UK Charts Company.

She was knocked off the top spot by American rockers the Foo Fighters, only to regain the number one position last Sunday.

Her debut album 19 was in second, up from number three.

Liverpudlian indie rockers The Wombats were the highest entry, in at three with This Modern Glitch.

The Foo Fighters were down to four with Wasting Light and Jessie J was down one to five with Who You Are.

In the singles chart Party Rock Anthem, by LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennett and Goonrock, held on to the number one spot for a third week.

Bruno Mars climbed 13 places to number two with The Lazy Song, while Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull's track On The Floor stayed put at three.

Chris Brown featuring Benny Benassi was up one place to four with Beautiful People and Snoop Dogg was up one to five with Sweat.

UK dance duo Nero had the highest new entry with Guilt, which was straight in at eight. The other new entries were Get It Right by the Glee Cast at 31 and Wynter Gordon with Dirty Talk at 34.
