Stefani puts solo career on hold

Gwen Stefani's days as a solo artist might be over.

The Hollaback Girl singer has suggested that she intends to focus on making music with her band, No Doubt.

"That was a moment in time - it went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you're at in that time in your life," she told Entertainment Weekly of her solo career.

"[But] everything works out how it should," she added.

It has been nearly 10 years since No Doubt released their last studio album, Rock Steady; five years since Gwen dropped her last solo album The Sweet Escape and two years since the group reunited for a big summer tour.

But it looks like No Doubt, who include guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young, have something new up their sleeve - although for now, they are keeping it close to their chest.
