Britney Spears adds more UK dates

Britney Spears has added four new dates to her upcoming UK tour.

The pop superstar, who will be bringing her Femme Fatale tour onto British shores in October, has extended the tour to include extra shows at London's O2 Arena, London's Wembley Arena, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena and Sheffield Motorpoint Arena.

"I can't wait to come back to the UK and perform for my fans there, it's been too long!" she said.

The home-grown leg of the tour - her first in two years - has received positive reviews from US media.

Britney has unveiled the 21-track set list for the tour, which includes old favourites like Baby One More Time and Toxic as well as new songs Hold It Against Me and I Wanna Go, and two surprise songs.

"There are a lot of surprises in the show. You definitely get a show when you come to see this," she told Daybreak.

"It's probably one of the most impactful, entertaining shows I have ever done, so I am so excited. The costumes are so elaborate, different and shocking."

The 29-year-old also revealed she still suffers from stage nerves despite the years of experience: "I get very nervous. But after the third song, I've kind of calmed down and got into the mode of the show."

Tickets for the new dates are on sale from July 1 at Livenation.co.uk.
