Cher Lloyd tops singles chart

Cher Lloyd has stormed to the top of the singles chart with her debut release Swagger Jagger.

The 18-year-old from Malvern, Worcestershire, a finalist in last year's X Factor, deposed She Makes Me Wanna, by previous X Factor finalists JLS, featuring Dev.

"Having a number one was the best thing I could have asked for," said Cher, who spent her childhood honing her musical talent and dreaming of being in the charts.

The Top 10 from The Official Charts Company features two other new entries - Little Bad Girl from house DJ and producer David Guetta and US rappers Cruz and Ludacris climbs to number six from last week's 13, while Brighton hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks land their best chart performance to date with Down With The Trumpets climbing to number nine from last week's 20.

Glad You Came by The Wanted slips from number two to number three, The A Team by Ed Sheeran stays at number four, and Louder by DJ Fresh featuring Sian Evans falls from number three to number five.

In the album chart, Amy Winehouse continues to dominate with Back To Black at number one for a second week with its strongest weekly sales since the singer's untimely death last month, and her debut album Frank climbing from last week's number five to this week's number three, its best ever showing.

The two albums are separated by Adele's evergreen 21 at number two while Adele's debut album 19 stays at number four.

Beyonce's album 4 slips from number three to number five.
