Mitch: This Christmas will be tough

Mitch Winehouse has vowed to cherish festive memories of daughter Amy as he spends his first Christmas without her.

The taxi driver, whose troubled daughter died in July, admitted the holidays were going to be difficult but insisted there were "plenty of good times to remember".

He told the Daily Mirror: "I have great memories of a Christmas tree and the kids opening their presents. A proper magic time.

"This is going to be the first Christmas without Amy so it's going to be tough.

"We will raise a glass of sherry to her and carry on. We have got plenty of good times to remember, it won't be easy but we will get through it."

Back To Black singer Amy was found dead in bed in her Camden flat in north London on July 23.

Since the star's death her dad been busy setting up The Amy Winehouse Foundation, established in Amy's honour to help young people.

Mitch added: "I haven't stopped crying since the news, but we do not give in. Nothing will deter us in our mission to help kids in Amy's name."
