Man charged in rapper home break-in

A homeless man has been charged with burglary for allegedly breaking into the California home of LL Cool J, where the actor-rapper subdued him.

Jonathan Kirby was charged with first-degree burglary with a person present and faces a maximum of 38 years to life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors are asking bail be set at 1.1 million dollars.

No arraignment date has been set and it wasn't immediately known if Kirby, 56, has retained an attorney.

Kirby remains in a hospital with a broken nose, jaw and ribs after the altercation with the NCIS: Los Angeles actor on Wednesday, authorities said.

The star held Kirby until police arrived and wasn't injured.
