Bieber's scary swim with sharks

Justin Bieber has revealed that he almost couldn't film his latest video - because of his fear of sharks.

The As Long As You Love Me singer hesitated before plunging into a water tank filled with bonnethead and zebra sharks for the footage, which will be shown during the shows on his Believe tour.

"We shot in an actual aquarium with real sharks. I'm terrified of sharks. I was so scared. I hate sharks. It took, like, an hour for me to even jump in the water," he admitted to Entertainment Tonight.

Justin, who is dating singer Selena Gomez, joked that the female synchronised swim team, Aqualilies, surrounding him underwater made the scary situation better.

"Being with the ladies under there kind of made it a lot better," he said.

Justin's tour director Jon Chu, who directed Justin's concert documentary film Never Say Never, came up with the idea for the video.

"He was pretty scared, which was awesome. I had to jump in with him to make sure he knew it was safe and he wasn't going to get bitten," he said.

Justin - who continues his tour around the US - also revealed that he taught himself how to dance: "I never really took any dance lessons. I wasn't really a dancer, [but] I could control my body."
