Celine Dion has recalled how she was forced to go on stage barefoot on her opening night at the The Colosseum, because she had lost a shoe. The My Heart Will Go On singer - who has been a resident performer at the theatre at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas - is preparing to celebrate the Colosseum's 10th anniversary on March 25 this year. Celine told the Las Vegas NV blog: "We've had so many memorable moments, yet since we are talking about the 10th anniversary, how about something that happened on the very first show, 10 years of time ago, on March 25, 2003? We had all the media and VIPs in attendance for this premier, obviously, it was a very huge night. "Somehow, during a costume change, my shoes went missing. It was like, 'Do I leave the audience waiting, or do I go out in my bare feet?' "You can't keep the people waiting, especially on opening night, so I started the song shoeless... and just as I was starting to sing, my brother Michel came on stage with the missing shoes! "We're 'live' and that means no show is ever absolutely the same as another. Sometimes it makes our hearts beat a little faster, yet it moreover makes it very exciting." The Canadian star added: "So far there have been no more problems with shoes not showing up on time!"
