One Direction have big announcement

One Direction have sent fans into a frenzy after revealing they are set to make a huge announcement.

The Live While We're Young singers have teased that it will be the "most exciting 1D news EVER" but are keeping the details to themselves until next week.

Harry Styles and co have even set up a website for their big secret, www.onebigannouncement.com, which shows a clock ticking down until May 16.

Liam Payne tweeted: "Get ready! Exciting announcement coming from us nextttttt week! http://www.onebigannouncement.com."

And bandmate Niall Horan said: "THE most exciting 1D news EVER is being announced in 6 days! http://www.onebigannouncement.com."

The boys have new music coming out soon and are also set to appear in their 3D concert film This Is Us, so there is speculation online that the announcement could relate to one of those projects.
