NewsMay, 22 Madonna to present at charity showMadonna is set to be a guest presenter at the Sound Of Change charity concert in London. The chart-topping superstar, who is the founder of the Ray Of Light Foundation, is showing her support by participating in the show, which has been organised by Beyonce and Salma Hayek and aims to raise money for female causes around the world. Madonna said: "Sixty per cent of the children in the world not in school are girls! 2/3 of the world's illiterate are women! I do not accept this. We need to change this and we will change this!" Jessica Chastain, Zoe Saldana, Freida Pinto and internationally renowned figures from politics such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Gordon and Sarah Brown, Gloria Steinem, and Aishwarya Rai and Abhshek Bachchan will also present on the night, alongside previously announced stars Blake Lively, James Franco and Jada Pinkett Smith. Performers for the four-hour show, which will take place at Twickenham Stadium on June 1, include Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend and Florence + The Machine amongst others. Beyonce, who will perform a 45-minute special set, said: "I am really happy that so many amazing artists and presenters have come together to support Chime For Change on June 1. Our goal is to have a great time together while we unite and strengthen the voices of girls and women around the world." The show is being organised by promoter Harvey Goldsmith, who was behind Live Aid and Live 8 and will be broadcast around the world.
