Eavis teases Bowie's Glasto return

David Bowie could play Glastonbury again in the future, the festival's founder Michael Eavis has revealed.

The Ziggy Stardust singer, who released his new album The Next Day in March, is rumoured to headline the event again in 2014, having previously performed there in 1971 and 2000.

Michael, who is signing up names for the next festival with daughter Emily, told the Central Somerset Gazette that it is a possibility, saying: "David's done it a couple of times before but I'm sure he could come back again."

He added: "The younger ones sort out most of the music, but I like to book the headline names. I can't tell you at the moment who that will be as we're still talking to people."

Michael has said three headliners have already been booked for the coming year but is remaining tight-lipped on their identities until tickets go on sale.

"There were maybe a dozen headliner potentials so we're running out of headliners but we've got the last three for next year," he told NME.

Elbow, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters and Kasabian are among the acts rumoured to grace the Pyramid Stage at next year's Glastonbury Festival.

The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford And Sons were the headlining bands at this year's event.
