NewsSeptember, 20 Fleetwood Mac for Glastonbury?Fleetwood Mac have sparked speculation they are set to play at Glastonbury next year. The rockers had to decline an invitation to perform at the Somerset festival this year, but it seems they are hoping they get another chance. Speaking at the premiere of frontwoman Stevie Nicks' new documentary, Mick Fleetwood told Gigwise: "We were asked to do some lovely festivals this year and it didn't work out. Once you do the festivals then you can't really do a tour of the other towns. "We were asked to do Glastonbury this year and hopefully they'll ask us again." When asked whether it was likely the band would play Glasto next year, he said: "I don't know - they've probably got fed up of asking us!" The drummer said he was hoping the band would play some festivals next summer. "This has been a tough year on the road, but having said that, the boys in the band are hoping that our lady will think kindly about doing a few of the festivals," he said. According to the Daily Mirror, Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has said that 2014 headliners were "more or less in place". He said: "They're three bands who haven't played Glastonbury, and that's important. There aren't many left who haven't. Before we run out I'd like the ones on my wish-list to come down."
