Allen unveils her World Cup track

Lily Allen has revealed her new song - which she described as an "unofficial" World Cup anthem.

The Air Balloon singer debuted the track, which doesn't include any references to football or the upcoming tournament in Brazil, online on Soundcloud.

"My unofficial #worldcup song BASS LIKE HOME," she wrote on Twitter.

On the song, which doesn't feature on her new album Sheezus, Lily sings about the things she loves about Great Britain, including "God save the Queen, a pint of lager" and "Rule Britannia, Britannia rules the waves", and mentions former England player Paul Gascoigne.

She also sings "Move your feet, touch that crown, dig your heels into the ground... There's no bass like home."

Lily's latest offering joins releases from the Kaiser Chiefs, who have been pushing for their track Coming Home to be played as England's unofficial song, and boyband 5 Seconds Of Summer's Hearts Upon Our Sleeve.

Come On England (Don't Break My Heart) by Mansfield fans Mark Estell and Stephen Goalby and Dexters' I'll Never Find Another You are other alternative anthems.

York teachers Robin Parmiter and Ian Wilson have also teamed up to record the song, Bring It Home, using their band name Disco Mister, which has had over 69,000 hits on YouTube.

Take That's hit Greatest Day, which had been reworked by Gary Barlow, was due to be England's official 2014 anthem before it was dropped by the Football Association (FA). The song featured celebrities such as Kimberley Walsh, Mel C, Katy B and Pixie Lott alongside footballing stars Michael Owen and Gary Lineker.
