NewsDecember, 7 Take That headline Jingle Bell BallChart-toppers Take That played their biggest show as a trio as they performed to a 16,000-strong audience, headlining the Capital Jingle Bell Ball. The group, who recently slimmed down to a three-piece following the departure of Jason Orange, had played only a handful of intimate gigs in the past few days before topping the bill at London's O2 Arena. The act - now comprising Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald - were appearing on the eve of clinching their sixth number one album with iii. The group - flanked by 12 stocking-clad dancers - played hits such as Shine, Patience, Relight My Fire and The Greatest Day. It proved a contrast in scale to the group's album launch party earlier in the week to just 80 fans. Also on the bill for the annual Christmas celebration staged by radio station Capital were acts including Olly Murs, The Vamps, One Republic, Ella Henderson and Clean Bandit.
