Perrie Edwards says bandmates helped her through Zayn split

Perrie Edwards has praised her Little Mix bandmates for helping her get through her split with Zayn Malik.

The former One Direction hunk left Perrie heartbroken in July when he abruptly broke off their engagement and she revealed her bandmates were instrumental in getting over him.

She told Fabulous magazine: "My bond with Jade, Jesy and Leigh-Anne this year has become even stronger.

"They're the most incredibly supportive girls and I'm very grateful to have them.

"As difficult as it can be to have your private life plastered all over the press and on social media every day, I guess the one plus side is that it is like a looking glass for other women to look in and relate to."

Meanwhile, Zayn, 22, was recently forced to deny reports he had cruelly dumped Perrie, 22, by text message.

Zayn insisted he will "always" love the Little Mix star and said: "I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message. I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know as well. I don't want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn't do that."
