Peter Andre teases unlikely collaboration with Dancing On Ice star Lady Leshurr for new album

Peter Andre has teased an unlikely collaboration with a rap star for his new album.

Taking to Instagram, the singer revealed that he’s been in the studio working with rapper Lady Leshurr, who recently appeared on Dancing On Ice.

Sharing a snap of the pair together, the 48 year old wrote: “Love. In studio creating with @imladyleshurr @hypertone @rp9music @rebelrecs”.

The dad-of-four then shared a clip on his Instagram Stories from the studio where he has been working and teased his new music in a short video.

Lady Leshurr, who recently won The Celebrity Circle and competed in Dancing On Ice, also posted a picture of the pair together on Twitter.

And fans couldn’t wait to share their excitement at the duo working together, with one writing: “The collab we never knew we needed”.

Another added: “Long time coming, I feel this is going to be really good,” while a third wrote: “Look forward to hearing your new stuff”.

Earlier this month Pete opened up about getting back into the studio for his album and revealed: “Hopefully I’ll be releasing it this year and then I’d love to go on tour.”

The Mysterious Girl star also revealed that it was his son Junior, 15, and Take That star Gary Barlow who got him back making music.

Writing in new magazine, Pete shared: “Things are coming together in the studio and I’m working hard to get the album that I want. Junior has been in the studio with me on the weekends and he’s really enjoying the experience.

“I did a Q&A on my YouTube channel and was asked what made me decide to get back in the studio and actually stick to it.

"Randomly, I got the push from two people. One was my son Junior telling me to write something cool, current and fresh. The other person was none other than Gary Barlow.”

He continued: “Gary and I did one of his Crooner Sessions last year in the first lockdown and afterwards I sent him songs I had written and he basically told me to get my bum back in the studio and release some music.

“So now I’m working on two projects. One album that I plan to release soon and another separate project with Gary. Watch this space!”

Pete last released an album in 2015 when he released his second swing record Come Fly With Me and his Christmas album White Christmas.
