NewsJune, 28 Paloma Faith cancels concert ahead of Glastonbury performancePaloma Faith has cancelled her concert in Southampton on Friday night, prompting concerns about her Glastonbury performance at the weekend. The Picking Up the Pieces singer was set to perform in Southampton's Guildhall Square as part of the Summer Sessions concert series on Friday night. However, she announced hours before the show that she was too unwell to go ahead. "I'm incredibly upset and disappointed to announce that I need to cancel my show tonight in Southampton," she wrote on Instagram. "After suffering from exhaustion and catching various illnesses from my kids my voice has been severely affected and my range is compromised. "I have sought advice from medical professionals, they have advised that I need to rest my voice and that means I've had to cancel tonight's show. I'm so sorry to everyone who bought tickets, I've loved being on the road and seeing all your gorgeous faces, and I'm gutted I won't be dancing with you tonight." Paloma, who has two children with her ex Leyman Lahcine, has yet to address if she will be well enough to perform on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in Somerset on Sunday afternoon. Earlier this week, the 42-year-old singer told The Sun that she was "over-the-moon excited" to be performing at the iconic festival. "I've not done Glastonbury in eight years and I feel so excited. I am almost going to combust. It is one of the absolute best memories of my career, playing at Glastonbury," she said.
