NewsAugust, 25 Halsey trying to top her 'historically dramatic' album announcements for next recordHalsey has been trying to come up with ways to top her "historically dramatic" album announcements for her fifth release. The Without Me singer, who uses she/her and they/them pronouns, has started rolling out music from her next album but has yet to reveal its title or release date. The star candidly admitted in an interview with Capital FM that they have been trying to top their past two album announcements but they're "running out of ideas". "There's definitely going to be all the information coming soon. It's just I want to do it in my historically dramatic fashion," she explained. "All of my album release announcements have been really special, you know, for Manic, I did a live painting of the album cover, and then for If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, we premiered it at the Met Museum in New York and so I have been spending the past couple of months being like, 'How the heck am I gonna top that?' "I've created a real problem for myself because now I have to get increasingly better and more exciting. I'm running out of ideas. I'll have to launch it onto the moon or something like that next time." Halsey, 29, returned to the music scene in June with the promotional single The End, in which she revealed her lupus and T-cell disorder diagnoses. She then launched her fifth album roll-out in earnest in July and August with the singles Lucky and Lonely Is the Muse. When asked if they could divulge any details about the record, they simply teased: "Expect the unexpected."
